I once got in trouble for doing exactly what you’re supposed to do at a comedy club…

Laugh. 🤣

Not talking. 🙅🏼‍♀️ Not on my phone. 📱❌ Not being disruptive. 😇

Laughing. 😆😂

Apparently my laugh was a little too enthusiastic. 🤣🤣🤣

My laugh has been described as:

😂 Recognizable.
😂 Contagious.
😂 Slightly alarming.
😂 A public service announcement that something funny just happened.

I’ve had strangers thank me for making the comedy show more fun. 🙌🏽

I’ve had friends locate me in a crowd without ever seeing me. 👀😆

At this point, my laugh enters the room about 30 seconds before I do. 🤣

And honestly? I wouldn’t change a thing. Life is too short for quiet laugh. 😬🫣🤣

Yes, it’s going to be 105° today.😳

At this point, opening your car door feels less like transportation and more like entering a preheated oven. 😅🔥

The good news? It’s dry heat.🤭

The bad news? So is my sense of humor by August. 🤣

If you’re new to Arizona, here’s your official welcome packet:

☀️ Park in the shade.
☀️ Use a windshield sunshade.
☀️ Never trust a metal seatbelt buckle.
☀️ Carry water everywhere.
☀️ Learn to sprint from the parking lot.

Arizona summers are not for the weak, but somehow we survive them every year and spend the rest of the year bragging about our weather. 😎🌴☀️🤣

It’s one of the most common questions I hear. 👂🏼

The good news? 🎉 Arizona, California, and Nevada recently reached a major agreement to reduce Colorado River water use and protect the long term health of the river system. 💧🌊🙌🏽

What does that mean in plain English? 👇🏼😊

✅ Arizona is planning ahead. 📋

✅ Arizona is conserving water. 💧

✅ Arizona is working with neighboring states instead of waiting for a crisis. 🤝

✅ Leaders are taking steps now to help protect water resources for the future. 🌵☀️

In fact, Arizona has been one of the most proactive states in the Southwest when it comes to water management and conservation. 💧🌎👏🏽

🚫 No, Arizona isn’t pretending water isn’t important.

👍🏽 Quite the opposite.

The people responsible for managing our water supply spend a lot of time planning years, and even decades, ahead. 📅💧📊

As someone who moved here from Washington 🌲☔, I had the same questions before making the move.

Now that I live here, I’ve learned that Arizona’s water story is a lot more complex, and a lot more encouraging, than the headlines often make it sound. ☀️🌵😊

So if water concerns are keeping Arizona off your list, it may be worth taking a closer look. 👀💧☀️🏡🌵

You know what surprised me most about turning 55? 🤔

It wasn’t the gray hairs.😳

It wasn’t the AARP mail. 😂

It was realizing how differently I look at home and lifestyle than I did 20 years ago.💯

These days, I’m not just looking at square footage and countertops.

I’m looking at community.
Activities.
Friendships.
Safety.
Convenience.
And whether this is a place where I can truly enjoy life.🎶😎🫶🏼

That’s why I think choosing an agent who understands your lifestyle is just as important as choosing the right home.🙌🏽

I’m 55. I live this lifestyle every day. I understand what it’s like to want fun, friends, travel, volunteering, activities, and yes, still have time for work and family. 😊

Some people want a quiet neighborhood.

Some want a packed social calendar.

Some are buying a second home.

Some are making a permanent move.

There isn’t a one size fits all answer.🙂‍↔️

The right home is important.

The right community is important.

Because when you’re choosing a lifestyle, it helps to work with someone who’s living it, too. ☀️🌵😎🏡

If you’ve known me for more than five minutes, you already know I can’t sit still. 😂☀️🎉

I love people, activities, events, and finding reasons to get everyone together. 🥳🍹🎶🌵

In fact, in second grade, I planned a surprise birthday party for my teacher… even though it wasn’t her birthday. 🎂🎉🤣

Talk about a SURPRISE. 😂😂😂

So honestly, becoming a Realtor and ending up on the Washington State Interest Group Board here in The Grand was pretty much inevitable. 😆

Some Realtors sell houses. 🏡

I sell houses… then accidentally become everyone’s activity director. 📅🎟️🎉🍷🎲🎤

Creating connections, building community, and helping people feel at home is one of my favorite things. ☀️😊

Don’t wait before it’s too late. 😎☀️

One of the biggest misconceptions about Arizona active adult communities is that you have to wait until retirement to enjoy them.

The truth? Many of these communities are actually 45+, and plenty of people still work full time, part time, run businesses, volunteer, travel, or somehow manage to play pickleball 6 days a week and still claim they’re “busy.” 😂🏓

Some people buy a second home here to test the waters. Others, like us, take the full plunge and move here full time.

Best decision we ever made. 🙌☀️

Before moving to Arizona, I had no idea a lifestyle like this even existed. Pickleball in the morning. Live music at night. Clubs, classes, golf, happy hours, social events, and neighbors who actually know your name. 🎶⛳🍹🏊‍♀️

There is literally something happening every day.

And if you’re worried you’ll be forced into a nonstop social calendar, don’t be. Nobody is checking attendance. 😂

You can fill your calendar from sunrise to sunset, or spend the day floating in the pool perfecting absolutely nothing. ☀️😎🏊‍♀️

The best part? There are plenty of people here who still work. This isn’t a community full of people sitting around waiting for dinner at 4:00 PM. 🤣

It’s people living life.

Looking back, I wish I would’ve discovered this lifestyle sooner. ❤️☀️

Who else thought active adult communities were only for retirees until they actually saw what life here is really like? 👇😄🏓🌵☀️

No one warns you that Arizona turns you into a full blown birdwatcher. 😂🐦☀️

Every morning Jim and I sit outside by the pool drinking our coffee ☕️ and watching what we now call “the bird show.” We are fully entertained by all the different birds, their chirping, singing, tiny bird arguments, and whatever political drama they’ve got going on in the backyard. 😂

Then Jim went to Costco and bought a giant block of quail seed because apparently we are these people now. 🌵

The funny part?
The quail wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Instead, every OTHER bird in Arizona showed up like it was an all you can eat buffet. Suddenly it became a full backyard showdown over who ruled the seed block. Tiny birds squaring up. Doves acting entitled. Sparrows dive bombing each other. Pure chaos before 7 AM. 😂🐤

Honestly, how we got into birdwatching is still a mystery to me.

But I swear you can’t live in Arizona without hearing and noticing the birds. They’re everywhere, and somehow they become part of your daily routine before you even realize it. ☀️🐦🌴

Some transactions leave a bigger mark than others. ❤️

Helping people sell a home is one thing. Hearing how they felt during the process means even more to me. I pay attention to the little details because I know this isn’t “just real estate.” It’s your home, your memories, your next chapter, and sometimes your sanity. 😅
