I’ve taken note of all the articles about a “Super El Niño” bringing an active rainy Monsoon to the Phoenix valley this Summer into Fall!

Some of the news is exciting and some reports are ominous!😳

We’re either going to fry —
☀️ seeing record-breaking temperatures, or flood like never before — or BOTH! 🤷🏾‍♀️

Y’all know I LOVE rain( Pluviophile)
but I’m in the “I’ll believe it when my face is wet with rain” category!

While the Super El Niño scenario is developing, I remain skeptical and hopeful..
Praying that the Summer 2026 in AZ isn’t a record breaker for heat or rain!

I spent last weekend in Massachusetts celebrating the graduation of my best friend’s daughter from Mount Holyoke College.
The parades, the ceremonies and the celebrations were epic!
Oh— and there was rain— glorious rain! 🌧️
I was truly inspired by these young women as they head off into an often turbulent world!
Congratulations to all the grads across the country and their families— you give me hope and faith! ♥️

This afternoon we gathered along the waters of Tempe Town Lake at the Art Center to celebrate and honor the one and only
Queen Diva! ♥️
We came from all walks of life…Danielle Williams touched us and made us better with her bright spirit.
Her hiking friends,
her friends from radio and tv,
her friends from the comedy community,
her friends from the education and non profit community,
the medical community—
A long list of her friends — so diverse, and so fiercely bound together by a common love for this woman.
There was so much laughter, and some tears because we miss her so.
We celebrated her phenomenal life with her beautiful mom, aunts and family… who came with stories of life with Danielle!
We celebrated her unique unwavering positivity as she battled Cancer for more than 8 years.
She was Amazing Grace personified!
Until we meet again Diva Danielle
We love you
We miss you …
Rest in eternal peace and power! 🙏🏿

I’m wistful, but still feeling blessed for the memories and the legacy of love she left— we still feel it!

We rushed by each other for decades on valley streets as we did our jobs covering the news- I was at 10 & she was at 12 News!
We always showed love & respect and made promises to grab lunch when we had a moment!
The moment never came— cuz crazy life kept us running around busy! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️
Years passed- life slowed for me in retirement , and behold …I got to sit down and break bread with Kim Covington!🙌🏾
What a fierce, passionate, smart woman I’ve been missing out on!
Lesson — follow up on those hurried lunch/coffee promises we all make - you could be missing out on some phenomenal people! ♥️
