Invest in Girls is a powerful program created by the Arizona Council on Economic Education in collaboration with Dress for Success. Together, they’re helping young women gain financial literacy, professional confidence, and the resources they need to thrive.

Through the program, the current cohort of students from Paradise Valley High School engage with professionals, learn about careers in finance (Equities Trader at Edward Jones or working at Voya Financial), and grow their confidence — not just through education, but through empowerment.

Programs like these remind us that success is built not only on knowledge, but also on the belief that you belong in the room.

We had the privilege to pour into these incredible high schoolers and provide them with resources and knowledge to become more financially literate - a topic I so deeply believe in, especially for ladies.

Congratulations to the new Spring 2025 cohort for Arizona Council on Economic Education's Invest in Girls program. These girls are going places!

Dress for Success helped the high school ladies get outfitted in professional clothes, and the community came together to help the ladies grow their networking skills and financial knowledge.

Addressing a gap in our educational systemđź’–

Growing up, a lot of individuals DO NOT get financial and economic education at school or at home but that education is incredibly practical information for an individual's everyday life.

Arizona Council on Economic Education is changing the script. The organization provides economic and financial literacy tools and programming. In 2024 alone, ACEE served 2,281 teachers and 303,328 students across all 15 counties of Arizona. Way to go ACEE in empowering the next generation!

Congratulations to Eva Jolly from BASIS Chandler, winner of the $500 Arizona Council on Economic Education Economic Concepts Poster Contest! Eva’s outstanding poster demonstrated creativity and a deep understanding of economic principles.

We celebrated Eva’s achievement with (L to R) BASIS Chandler teacher Jayce Hylton, Eva's father, Eva, Poster Contest sponsor Kathy Jang from Diamond Point Homes, and ACEE's Teresa Mungai.

A special thank you to Diamond Point Homes (Investorkathyjang) for sponsoring this contest and supporting economic education for Arizona students!

Engaging kids grades K-12 on personal finance and economics through competition and offering scholarships.

These are topics that I think are truly beneficial to learn, and I wished I learned these concepts earlier in life.

A highlight for me every year is giving back and sponsoring the calendar publication of the Economic Concepts Poster Contest winners and their scholarships. These kids are going places!

Finding resources and services for our residents during difficult times.

We hosted the local Wilson Community Center at our apartment, to support and bring awareness to our residents of FREE local services such as classes in: ESL, GED, nutrition, access to food pantries and so much more!

We are so thankful for Wilson’s Principal, Superintendent, Community Director, and teachers who came out to support our residents and the event.

While onsite, the Wilson staff realized they knew individuals who could benefit from living at our property too, so we gained advocates for our apartment as well.

What are you doing to build community within your organizations or to provide more resources during these harder financial times?

It is always ultimately about how we can best add value.

The school district for some of our apartments held a Fall Festival - attended by almost 800 individuals, with the first 400 receiving free lunches and many receiving free health services, free diaper packages, countless free books, and much more.

We gave out treats to all the little trick-or-treaters, flyers to drive awareness to our apartment community, and offered a gift card raffle for those who gave their contact information for interest in apartments. We were blessed to have received 30 leads from the event. But it was about a whole lot more than that.

It was important to us to be there to support the community, to get to know and build relationships with individuals and organizations, and to learn how we can better serve the needs of the community.

At the end of the day it is about what sort of impact we can make. ❤️ Thank you Ray Hightower for your partnership!

It is clearly a difficult market all around.

Most people hold paper assets like stocks, bonds and mutual funds. What happens when wall street isn't doing well?

Hard assets like multifamily real estate are fairly uncorrelated to the stock market - which can help to reduce portfolio volatility and risk.

📚 Back to School for our Littlest Residents! 🎒

With an amazing turnout of over 50 residents, our back to school/lease renewal party was a hit, securing 10 renewals on the spot ! 📝

Our residents loved the event. There was music, lots of food, community support, and our school aged residents received backpacks with goodies and supplies to start the school year strong!

✨ Our dedicated staff was there to have a good time as well as to help any residents with their lease renewals - ensuring a smooth and easy process. We are so grateful for residents that want to stay in our communities and who continue to partner with us in making it a great place to live!
