Mother Teresa, known for her unwavering selfless commitment to serve others and God. A winner of Nobel Peace Award, and an inspiration of hope to so many. She received a calling within the calling to serve the poorest of the poor. Helping to build orphanages and sites for those who are homeless and terminally ill.
During her Phoenix visit in 1989, she was interviewed by one of our radio hosts. When asked why, she said it was because whenever she looked into the eyes of people, she saw God. (Not the sick and homeless person, but the creator within them)
Her presence, unconditional love, and devotion to her work are still very much alive today. Her words echo through my own heart. A mantra I live by daily.
“If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.”
We want to change the world, some will go through great extremes to put their mark on it. Realistically, the mark is already at home.
Because when your home is loved, it shows.
This Mother’s Day weekend is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the gift of family and to honor our loved ones.
Mother Theresa’s work, her sincerity to giving hope and her ‘do it anyway’ poem, is what I live by. For nobody loves the way you do.
