Here is our new net that allows guests to play several different games! Last night, we didn’t have any renters at Lakeside Fee-lings on Strawberry Lake, so we decided to set it up and play badminton together as a family. We had so much fun!

It’s the little moments like these that I’ll always cherish. Nothing beats a relaxing staycation—or a fun-filled vacation—at the lake! 🏸☀️🌊

People often ask why we charge a pet fee—and why it costs what it does. The answer is simple: cleaning after pets takes considerably more time and attention.

We love animals and are happy to accommodate them, but many guests allow their pets on the beds, couches, and other furniture. Pet hair and dander can settle into fabrics and throughout the home, even when it isn’t easily visible. Pet owners may not notice how much their animals shed because it’s a normal part of everyday life with a pet.

These photos show the amount of pet hair left behind after just one weekend stay with a pet. Even when a home appears clean, hair and dander can hide in bedding, furniture, rugs, and corners, requiring additional time and detailed cleaning.

After every pet-friendly stay, I carefully clean and sanitize the entire house, including furniture and other areas that require extra attention. My next guests may have allergies, so it is my responsibility to remove as much pet hair and dander as possible and leave the home spotless, fresh, and guest-ready.

The pet fee helps cover that additional time and detailed cleaning. We truly love welcoming your furry family members, but providing a safe and exceptionally clean home for every guest will always be my top priority at Lakeside Fee-lings On Strawberry Lake.
