I wrote Accidental Cowgirl around a question that haunted me: What happens when life forces you off the path you've carefully planned?

My protagonist arrives in Gold Creek by accident-or so she thinks. A wrong turn. A missed connection. The kind of detour that feels like failure in the moment. But here's what I discovered while writing her story: that 'accident' isn't a plot device. It's her awakening.

Gold Creek doesn't just give her a new setting-it strips away the life she thought she wanted and reveals the one her heart actually needs. The struggle is real. The transformation is earned. And by the end, she realizes the detour was never a mistake.

I think so many of you reading this know that feeling. Life rarely goes according to plan, and sometimes the best things come from the turns we didn't see coming.

That's what I try to write into every story-the truth that second chances aren't just about love. They're about discovering who you actually are when everything you planned falls away.
