- You learn the amount you can afford. It's in your best interest to set up an accurate budget.
- It helps narrow down your search. This allows you to focus more on the homes in your budget, and no more time wasted looking at homes you can't afford.
- It makes you a more desirable buyer. This is a form of good faith and shows sellers that you're a serious buyer.
- It helps present a strong offer. Many sellers don't like to entertain an offer with no pre-approval. If you find a home and still need to get pre-approved, you could end up missing out on it.
- It can improve the timeliness of closing!
