What a great day for education! Joining me was Jennifer Sotello, CCIM, with DSTs 1031 Investments and Registered Representative Cabin Securities. Jennifer shared how the DST product can be a great alternative resource when your clients are in the middle of a 1031 exchange AND when they are having trouble identifying replacement property. DSTs can also be helpful when you have acquired real property, through the 1031, but you have some remaining funds from your sale, but not quite enough to put into standalone property. The DST is going to be a quick option and a way to avoid taxable boot.
