Our WPA Maintenance team is leveling up! 💪

Today, our team completed Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) training. LOTO procedures exist to protect workers from the unexpected energization of equipment during maintenance.

Safe properties start with safe people. Investing in our Birgonites means better outcomes for the communities we serve. 🌱

Pittsburgh Steelers legend and 2x Super Bowl champion Charlie Batch joined us for our Q2 All-Hands Meeting! 🏈

Charlie shared stories from his NFL career and the lessons it taught him about preparation, resilience, and showing up ready. His message resonated with our 2026 company theme of 'Growth on Purpose'.

Brad Himmelstein and Shaneisha Payne also took the floor for our Employee "Ted Talks," delivering honest, grounded perspectives on setting realistic expectations for yourself, and also for those you serve.

Other highlights included a review of our Q1 progress, a look ahead to Q2, and we opened the floor for Q&A with our executive team (and may have laughed a little too hard at Michael Lojas's expense 😂).

We are proud to celebrate Daniel, Chris, Jimmy, Darren, Shaneisha, Kimberly, and Donna on their graduation from our Manager Development Program. 👏🎓

This bespoke program is centered around Birgo’s custom manager competencies. Our graduates spent the session diving deep into what it takes to build and grow engaged, high-performing teams – complete with mock interviews and real-time feedback.

✍️ Upon graduating from the program, each participant wrote a letter to their future self, envisioning the kind of manager they want to be three months from now.

Creating a fresh start for families is about more than just the roof over their heads. It's the details that make a house feel like home.

We're proud to be continue our partnership with HEARTH - North Hills Affordable Housing with another hands-on volunteer day!

We rolled up our sleeves to:
• Build new furniture, including cribs for the childcare room to ensure a safe environment for the little ones.
• Sanitize and organize the community playroom, creating a sparkling clean place for kids to be kids.
• Deep-clean carpets throughout the shared spaces to freshen up the space for incoming families.

A huge thank you to the HEARTH staff for the vital work they do every day to support survivors of domestic abuse/trauma. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help prepare these spaces for the families who need them most.
