According to the annual ParkScore Index from the Trust for Public Land, Pittsburgh's park system ranked #15 among the 100 most populous U.S. cities in 2026, improving from #17 last year.

The report found that 94% of Pittsburgh residents live within a 10-minute walk of a public park, while the city continues to invest in amenities, accessibility, and community green spaces. From neighborhood parks to the newly designated 600-acre Hays Woods, Pittsburgh's commitment to outdoor recreation continues to enhance the quality of life for residents across the city.

It's just one more reason Pittsburgh remains such a great place to live, work, and play. 💛🖤

One of the biggest reasons transactions fall apart right now? Inspections.

I call Pittsburgh a “boomerang city.” So many people grow up here, leave for college or career opportunities, then come back when it’s time to build a life and raise a family.

One thing I always tell clients: Pittsburgh’s housing market is built on stability… and that’s becoming increasingly rare.

Over the last 20 years, our market has shown remarkably consistent appreciation with very little volatility. Even during the 2008 housing crisis, Pittsburgh experienced only a small dip before rebounding quickly. And while many markets saw dramatic swings during and after the COVID housing surge, Pittsburgh has continued moving forward without the major correction seen elsewhere.

That doesn’t mean affordability challenges don’t exist, they do. But compared to many major metro areas, Pittsburgh still offers a level of accessibility that surprises buyers relocating from higher-cost markets.

Our market isn’t driven by speculation or dramatic highs and lows. It’s driven by strong local demand, steady growth, and long-term fundamentals, and that’s one of the reasons I’m so confident in the strength of Pittsburgh real estate.
