🚨 FHA Announces Another Major Step Toward UAD 3.6 Modernization
The transition to UAD 3.6 continues to gain momentum.
Last week, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) announced it will begin accepting (not requiring) UAD 3.6 appraisal reports prior to the GSE mandatory cutover on November 2, 2026.
While FHA has not yet announced the official acceptance date, this is an important milestone for lenders preparing for the industry’s largest appraisal modernization initiative in more than a decade.
What this means for lenders:
✅ Earlier opportunities to test UAD 3.6 workflows
✅ Greater flexibility during the transition period
✅ Time to prepare operations before the mandatory GSE implementation
At MTS Group, we’re already preparing.
Our appraisal technology platform is actively developing the FHA EAD integration needed to support UAD 3.6 appraisal submissions through FHA Connection. Our goal is to be among the first AMCs ready to process FHA UAD 3.6 appraisal orders as soon as FHA begins accepting them.
