I tried out this product for stripping this weekend. It's not the best thing I can't lie. But beggars can't be choosers I got it out of a yard sale free pile in the summer. Let's start with the positive, the fumes were slim to none. It was easy to apply and sprayed on pretty well. The paint came up on the treads after about thirty minutes and it was a gooey mess. It was hard to remove the mixture after scraping. I was able to do three steps with three separate coats of this and it took me two hours. This did not even touch the white paint on the sides of the steps. Moral is I'm going to be going with something stronger. It works in a pinch but won't get perfect stainable results.

I have several significant projects upcoming that will put my skills to the test, including the replacement of soft Sub Floor and the demo of acoustic ceiling tiles (will check for Asbestos first) . The current dining room situation includes ceiling tiles on furring strips with two mid century recessed lights in weird distances away from one another. They are not it. I'm going to have the ceiling rewired so the wires meet in the middle at one fixture box on the new drywall ceiling that'll go up. Then will come the chandelier. Stay tuned

If you've been here, you know I found antique wallpaper behind a false wall on my staircase. I have listened to your advice and selected a burgundy! I'm so excited to see the end result. Last evening I painted the bottom wall , patched the plaster, and wood filled the trim strips and wiped them with Red oak Stain. Stay tuned as I renovate this Stairway and bring it back to it's former glory and more!

In the progress of bringing the character back to this 1900s stairwell. Rather than ripping the 2x4s down I will be staining them and caulking around the edges. They add support to the plaster and section off where the wallpaper stops. I dont want to rip the wood off and damage it. Should I replace the Antique Newell post and spindles? I don't care for the Mid Mod "upgrades"

Lol with dust in my eyes and nose, fingers swollen and cramping because I pushed too hard to get it done.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported my professional pursuits. My areas of expertise include gardening, painting, and color scheme design. I am passionate about repairing and restoring items, and I will strive to update this page regularly with my latest projects. Recently, I completed a project involving a deck and fencing, which required scraping, sanding, cleaning, and painting. I chose to paint the fence supports black to create a striking visual effect. Thanks for taking the time to check it out! 🤘🤘

The purpose of this page is to document my journey as I embark on purchasing houses from auctions, remodeling them, and sharing my skills along the way. Welcome friends, here is a stair project I did to get started: I removed the carpet and padding, took out all the nails and tack strips, scrubbed and painted the steps. Those lines were tedious.
