I saw this picture today on a friend’s post. I got a quick chuckle out of it. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. “This kind of isn’t actually funny… why are you chuckling?”
Some of the quotes we’ve sent out lately people are saying, “why’s it more now than it was before?”
Well, diesels crept up to about $6.80 a gallon. Salts skyrocketed between 25-28% depending whose price I’m carrying. Plows, cutting edges, minimum wage, insurance, brakes, tires, oils, and almost everything else to do with our industry have come up.
No, we are not price gouging. No, we aren’t bank rolling and squeezing you trying to profit off the scares from the politics. Multiple industries are hurting currently and I don’t think I speak any different thoughts than any of my competitors or friends I have who run any of their own businesses.
Please keep in mind this year as you’re feeling the stretch for every dollar…. Your contractors are too.
I apologize that things are getting to be more expensive, but things are for us as well.
