With recent high tides, please be on the lookout for stranded sea turtles in the sargassum and tidal water! These high tides and rough surf conditions can lead to increased sea turtle strandings especially adjacent to our jetties where they forage.

How you can help:
- Be vigilant if driving around sargassum and tidal water. These turtles can be difficult to see and may easily be run over.
- Report all these turtles to 1-866-TURTLE-5 immediately
- Never place a stranded turtle back in the water. These weaker turtles are often exhausted or have other underlying conditions which need to be treated by licensed professionals.
