“Rayleigh Scattering” After opening up the Grouper season in Marathon, the family and I went for a Sunset 🌅 Cruise. The sunsets in Marathon seem endless and this one was extra special. The sunset reflected off the full moon creating this epic flower moon that photos will never recreate.

The orange hue of the May 1, 2026, full moon—known traditionally as the Flower Moon—was caused by a scientific phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. When the moon is low on the horizon, its light travels through a thicker layer of Earth’s atmosphere, which filters out the shorter blue wavelengths and allows the longer orange and red wavelengths to pass through to your eyes. 👀

Fathers Day Weekend well spent in the keys! The conditions weren’t ideal but we made the best of it catching our 3 man snapper limit night fishing. No giant flags but the biggest fish went to the oldest Dad of the group my ol man 😎 19” yellowtail. It’s a great feeling to be able to take my Dad out fishing, the man that taught me so many things I love about the ocean at an early age. Love you Dad!!

We finished off the weekend chillin bayside at my in-laws, filleting the fresh catch, cooking out, and then a sunset swim w the fam.

You never know what dockside pet is going to show up while filleting fish, and this time we got a video of a giant barracuda that showed up to the buffet plus an Egret that Kash fed.
