❤️ For more than 45 years, the Central California Family Crisis Center has been helping individuals and families throughout our community rebuild their lives during some of their most difficult moments. Their mission is to protect individuals and families from domestic violence, human trafficking, homelessness, and economic hardship by providing shelter, counseling, education, food assistance, and other support services.

🏠 The organization offers emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling services, parenting classes, domestic violence prevention programs, support groups, and resources for families in crisis. They also provide a 24-hour confidential domestic violence hotline for those in need of immediate assistance.

🛍️ Did you know? Their Treasures Thrift Store helps support local programs and services. Donations and purchases made through the store help fund assistance for individuals and families right here in our community.

🥦 Sprouts Farmers Market, Ross Dress for Less? Porterville MAYOR DISCUSSES HENDERSON AVENUE DEVELOPMENT 🛍️

Many of you have seen this site plan before. The proposed development behind Burger King on West Henderson Avenue has been discussed for years and includes potential space for retailers such as Sprouts, Ross, dd's DISCOUNTS, Five Below, restaurants, and a hotel. 🌴🚗

📰✨ Recently, in an interview with the Porterville Recorder, Mayor Greg Meister announced that Burlington is coming to the former OfficeMax - Porterville 6567 location and said Sprouts Farmers Market is expected to break ground in mid-2027 and open in early 2028 as part of the planned Porter's Crossing expansion behind the Burger King on Henderson Avenue. He also stated that Ross Dress For Less, dd's Discounts, and Five Below are expected to follow in the development.

According to Meister, the project will also include a hotel and is part of the city's ongoing efforts to attract new businesses and expand shopping opportunities in Porterville. 🏨🛒📈

Projects of this size often take years of planning, infrastructure improvements, negotiations, and development before construction begins. While timelines can change, many residents are excited to hear these retailers being discussed publicly as part of Porterville's future growth. 📈🌱

🚧 Burlington MOVING FORWARD IN PORTERVILLE 🚧

A follower submitted new photos showing more progress at the future Burlington location next to Food 4 Less in Porterville. 👀

New “COMING SOON!” Burlington signs are now up, and construction equipment was spotted behind fencing as work continues at the former OfficeMax building. 🏗️

Burlington has also continued posting job openings tied to the upcoming Porterville location, another sign that the project is moving ahead.

The building has sat empty for quite some time, so many in the community have been watching closely to see what would move in next. With signage now installed and activity on site, the future store is starting to take shape.
