If you are trying to decide between buying a condo or a single-family home in the Vancouver area, it really comes down to your lifestyle.

Condos are a great choice if you want less maintenance. You do not have to worry about yard work or exterior repairs, which gives you more free time on weekends.

Single-family homes give you more space and privacy. You get your own yard, no shared walls, and room to grow.

Both options have great benefits depending on what you need right now. If you want to compare available condos and single-family homes in Clark County, visit vancouverwarealtor.com to search properties. Contact me directly if you need help deciding which path is right for you!

Summer is a great time to tackle a few quick home maintenance projects around Clark County to keep your house in top shape. Here is what I recommend checking this season:

1. Inspect your gutters and downspouts. Even in summer, clearing out debris ensures proper drainage when fall arrives.
2. Check window and door seals. Proper sealing keeps your home cool during warm days and helps lower energy bills.
3. Keep your lawn healthy. Water your grass early in the morning and adjust your mower blade to a higher setting to protect the roots from the summer sun.

Taking care of these simple items now will save you time and money later. If you have questions about the local real estate market or need a recommendation for local contractors, give me a call today!

The real estate market in Clark County is moving very fast right now.

Our June 2026 data shows that closed sales are up 15.7%. While more people are buying, we still have a low supply of homes. Inventory is currently at 3.2 months. This means homes are selling quickly and buyers need to be ready to move when they find a place they like.

If you want to see what is currently available, visit vancouverwarealtor.com to search all properties. You can also reach out to me directly if you have questions about buying or selling. I am here to help you stay ahead in this busy market.

Are you looking for a home in Clark County right now? Buying brand new construction might be more affordable than you think. Many builders are offering special rate incentives right now, like lower fixed rates or mortgage buy-downs. These programs can lower your monthly payment significantly compared to buying a resale home. You get a brand new home with modern features, warranties, and potentially a lower interest rate. If you want to explore new construction options in Vancouver, Camas, or Ridgefield, visit vancouverwarealtor.com to view available homes or call me directly to chat about what is currently on the market.

Buying your first home is a big move. There are a few things people do not always tell you before you start. I’m Thumper Donnelly, and I’m here to help you navigate the process in Clark County. Here are two big tips to help you get ready:

1. Get your pre-approval letter first. This is a note from your bank that says how much money they will lend you. In our local market, sellers want to see this letter before they even look at your offer. It shows them you are a serious buyer and ready to go.

2. Save extra money for closing costs. Buying a home costs more than just the down payment. You also have to pay for things like lender fees, the home inspection, taxes, and insurance. These are called closing costs. It is very smart to have some extra savings ready just for these fees so you do not have any surprises at the end.

If you want to see what is on the market right now, you can search for available properties on my website at vancouverwarealtor.com.

Send me a message if you have any questions or if you are ready to start looking. I am here to help.

It’s a tough pill to swallow, but did you know that 51% of renters in our metro area are officially considered cost-burdened?

That means more than half of local renters are spending at least a third of their total income just on rent and utilities. When you’re spending that much of your hard-earned money, you aren't just paying for a roof over your head: you’re paying off your landlord’s mortgage and building their wealth.

It’s time to flip the script. Stop paying someone else's mortgage and start building your own equity. Every mortgage payment you make is an investment in your own future, not someone else's.

Whether you're looking for your very first home or a newer construction property like the one in this photo, I’m here to help you navigate the local market and find the perfect fit. You shouldn't have to miss out on the right opportunity just because you didn't see the listing in time.

That's why I've made it easy. My website aggregates ALL listings from ALL agents in the area: Vancouver, Camas, Ridgefield, and beyond: so you can see every single option in one place.

Start your search and see what your future could look like at: vancouverwarealtor.com
