If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day excursion and haven’t been to Kitchen Culture yet, I highly recommend it. Located at 63rd and Foster, in an old bank building, it is chock full of kitchen ware, mostly pre-loved and consignment. There are also some new items, especially cast iron. The prices are so reasonable and I have found some culinary treasures for sure like this vintage le cruset enameled cast iron dish ($14) that I make frittatas in or these dead stock restaurant plates for $1.50 each! There’s also cooking classes several times a week (sushi, sourdough, etc) along with an overall a delightful experience. Across the side street there’s this little hole-in-the-wall ice cream shop with delicious scoops. Kitchen Culture is now a pick up location for pre-ordered farmers fruits and veggies from the Gorge.
