Marry The House And Date The Rate!

After a sharp drop last Friday, many average Interest rates inched up slightly this week but most remain lower than they have been since July 8th.

The Portland Metro market is very slow at this point and some sellers are offering buyers buy down credits to lower their rates and/or closing costs credits.

Many buyers remain hopeful and are waiting to purchase until the promise of September's Fed reductions.

Some industry professionals are only estimating a 1/4% - 1/2% reduction in those rates. If the predictions of these rate reduction amounts hold true the monthly payments on those 30 year financing rates will slightly decrease.

As the F-15 jets fly across our skies today in honor of so many I would like to encourage you to take a moment to remember those who have sacrificed or given their lives to provide our freedom.

My Father served in World War ll. After a bomb hit the second USS Yorktown carrier that he was on he was fortunate that he was only knocked unconscience and did not lose his life like so many others.

My heart goes out to those brave men & women who gave their lives in service to our country in addition to the family and friends who experienced such a tremendous loss.

I feel so very grateful that my Dad was able to return on that Ship when the war ended. I never take for granted that I was blessed to have had such a special father in my life.

Let us not now or forever forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.
