The Woodland Residence has broken ground. Our first major project in Fox Chapel features 4,000 SF, 4 beds and 4.5 baths on 2.5 acres. Here, you can get a sense of the undisturbed forest and reservoir setting that will surround the home.

The design will be strikingly modern – especially for ​this township. Board-formed concrete panels and thin-slat composite wood will define the exterior, while floor-to-ceiling glass frames panoramic views of the surrounding greenery.

Murrysville Modern is taking shape. This project sits squarely in our sweet spot – a challenging sloped site surrounded by acres of rustic woodland, creating the ideal setting for an organic modern residence.

The final design spans just under 2,000 SF, with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a two-car garage and flexible living space.

At the rear of our Bridge House, soaring walls of glass frame one of the defining features of life on Mt. Washington – extraordinary views of the Pittsburgh skyline.

Built-in planters complement the undisturbed native landscape, which covers half the site. As the plantings mature, they will help the architecture settle naturally into the hillside.

At this stage, the home’s layout, massing and key architectural features are taking shape, while materials and finishes continue to be refined.

NEW PROJECT | We’re adding a 1,000 SF pool house and flexible entertaining space to this modern home in Canonsburg.​ Natural stone and wood bring warmth to the contemporary design while helping the addition feel at home​ in its rustic, three-acre ​s​etting.

The design works with the existing retaining walls, integrating the new structure into a series of stone volumes that feel grounded in the landscape. During the warmer months, a pocketing glass door system lets the interior open almost entirely to the pool, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor space.

PROJECT UPDATE | Checking in on this home addition project in Mars, done in collaboration with Alisha Gwen Interior Design.

The new space introduces a covered patio and dining room, highlighted by a vaulted ceiling and dramatic arched window that fills the interior with natural light.

As we head into the final month of summer, we’ll have eight projects under construction, with two exciting new custom homes set to break ground in the coming weeks.

NEW PROJECT | With a dramatic floating walkway leading to its front door, the Bridge House on Mount Washington turns every arrival into an experience. Bridge entries have long been a practical response to the neighborhood's steep terrain, and our design study interprets this local tradition through a contemporary lens.

The entire residence is shaped by the site's dramatic topography.

A strong, anchored base gives way to lighter volumes that appear to float above it. Rather than competing with the hillside, the home is designed to become part of it. Much of the site will be restored with native landscaping that will mature over time, allowing the architecture to gradually settle into the landscape.

The 3,000 SF layout includes four bedrooms, a home office, garage and rooftop deck overlooking the Pittsburgh skyline.
