A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Acres!
Am I in Africa? Texas? Maybe New Mexico?
Nope, this is Central Oregon.
These trail cam photos came from a ranch I listed a few years back, and they remind me of a story.
I had a guy who seemed very interested in this ranch and we’d talked several times.
I told him he needed to see it in person and he always said he would, but he just couldn’t find the time.
He went quiet for several months and I figured he’d lost interest.
I thought I’d better do something to see if I couldn’t get him interested again so I went out scouting.
Up in the hills, there’s a spot where two fences meet.
It’s quiet there.
The elk slip through after feeding in the alfalfa fields, headed into the junipers to bed down for the day.
I set a trail cam at the junction.
A while later, I had gold,
Bulls in velvet, walking side by side through the trees.
Coyotes trailing behind.
This lone aoudad from another spot on the property.
I emailed him the photos. A very short time later he called me and said “I’ll be there tomorrow.”
We toured the ranch the next day and he told me to write up an offer on the spot.
We closed on the deal soon after and it was his.
