🌿 Sunday Reflection

You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone

Some burdens are easy to see.

A heavy box.
A long day.
A difficult task.

But some of the heaviest burdens are the ones no one else can see.

The worry you carry for your family.

The decision you’re trying to make.

The grief that still catches you off guard.

The financial stress.

The health concern.

The prayer you’ve been praying for a long time.

Many people are carrying more than they let others know.

They smile.
They show up.
They keep moving forward.

But inside, they’re tired.

Not because they’re weak.

Because they’ve been carrying too much for too long.

Sometimes we convince ourselves that being strong means handling everything on our own.

That asking for help is weakness.

That if we just try harder, pray harder, work harder, somehow we’ll finally feel lighter.

But God never asked us to carry life alone.

In fact, He invites us to do the opposite.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” ~ 1 Peter 5:7

Not some of it.

Not the easy parts.

All of it.

The worries.

The fears.

The questions.

The things keeping you awake at night.

The things you haven’t told anyone else.

Because He cares for you.

What a beautiful promise.

Not because we’ve earned it.

Not because we have everything figured out.

But because we are His.

Maybe today is a good day to loosen your grip on something you’ve been carrying.

To stop trying to hold the weight of tomorrow.

To stop believing you have to be strong every minute of every day.

To remember that God’s shoulders are much broader than ours.

And perhaps the most courageous thing you can do this week is not carry more…

But surrender more.
