I can’t live without traveling.
Growing up I thought everyone liked traveling.
Even when my parents were broke with 4 kids, they bought an old pop-up camper. We traveled all over the country and camped to keep in a budget.
As I got older, that love of travel never went away.
First I lived in Brazil for a year.
Then my Ex and I moved to Florida.
And when we broke up and I had the chance, I moved to England for 5 years.
Never once did I hesitate because of fear or the unknown.
Were there risks? Of course there were. And I didn't always have contingency plans for if things went south.
I got to see amazing things and have amazing experiences. Always taking the risk because I was sure there was a great reward.
Teaching in foreign countries. Learning new cultures. Developing a sense of what I was good at (and also what I sucked at!)
And I don't regret it for a minute. Life is too short not to take chances.
And even this year with a tight, tight budget we managed to get away for a few days to Blue Mound State park to climb the tower and let some pesky racoons steal our banana bread! 😡
But I'm curious What's your most recent travel adventure. Drop a picture if you can or just tell me about what you love as well.
