San Pedro’s waterfront is going through a massive transformation. 🌊

Unpopular opinion: Palos Verdes has a peacock problem. 🦚👀

Before you get mad, hear us out.

They're beautiful. They're iconic. And they're definitely part of what makes the Palos Verdes Peninsula unique.

But if you've ever lived near them, you might have a very different opinion. They're loud, get into yards and gardens, leave droppings everywhere, and can cause property damage.

The debate has gotten serious enough that Rancho Palos Verdes has used trapping and relocation programs to help manage the population.

So what's your opinion?

Manhattan Beach or Palos Verdes, which would you choose? 🌊

Both are incredible places to live, but they offer very different lifestyles.

🏖️ Manhattan Beach: walkability, restaurants, the Strand, beach-town energy, and plenty of activity.

🌳 Palos Verdes: quieter neighborhoods, more open space, trails, larger lots, and a more secluded coastal feel.

There isn't a “better” choice. It really comes down to how you want to live.
