As we look ahead to the Portage County Land Bank's 15th Anniversary in 2027, our team is reflecting on the people, partnerships and success stories that have shaped our work over the years.

We're starting with Kent Waldeck, owner and founder of Crafted Artisan Meadery in Suffield Township.

With the Land Bank's help, Kent was able to acquire a vacant, problem property and transform it into a thriving local business. It's a great example of what land banking can make possible: turning a property with challenges into an opportunity for something new to take root.
