My parents, Rick and have been an amazing example of marital longevity. Hundreds of times in my life I have heard “we’re not arguing, we’re discussing!” But even more times I have observed them making small sacrifices of their time for each other. And something I have observed that I think is even more underrated is that they both spend a huge chunk of their time thinking about and responding to the needs of others. It puts things in perspective. I so very much admire their relationship and their priorities in life. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents! Not bad for getting engaged while driving down Oddie Blvd. Love you!
