Richmond chef portraits: Chef Richard Myers of Drive By Gourmet is going to be featured in VoyageVirginia Magazine, and these are the editorial portraits and headshots we made for it.

Richard is a private chef in Richmond, Virginia who cooks for the households most people forget: families caring for aging parents, someone in cancer treatment, a spouse living with dementia. Weekly chef-prepared meals, real nutrition, delivered to the door, with a check-in every time.

Here is what that means when you photograph him:

You do not shoot a chef. You shoot the reason he cooks.

We built the session around three frames:

The environmental portrait: him in his element, hands working, the story visible in one glance.

The editorial headshot: clean, warm, magazine-ready, the frame an editor can drop straight into a feature.

In the Air & On the Ground: thermal drone work in Richmond, VA just moved beyond rooftops.

Yesterday we put the DJI Matrice 4T over a central Virginia site to pull radiometric thermal imagery and a full 3D map in a single flight. Heat signatures the naked eye can't see, plus centimeter-level detail you can actually measure.

Here's where that goes past real estate:

🔴 Lost pets: thermal reads an animal's body heat in brush, under decks, and along tree lines, day or night, where a ground search walks right past.

🦌 Deer & game recovery: a hit deer that runs into thick cover shows up as a heat bloom from the air. We help hunters recover the animal fast and ethically.

🗺️ 3D mapping: centimeter-accurate site models for land, construction, and property owners who need real measurements, not guesses.
