Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Full Time/Part Time/ Per Diem
Description: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) are responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency medical transportation to patients in need. This includes the following:
EMT's will be responsible for the safe transport and care of these patients throughout the duration of their transport.
The Emergency Medical Technician provides documentation of assessment, patient information and medical interventions. This position is responsible for completion of all documentation on a daily basis, completing daily vehicle checks, completing signature sheets, obtaining documents from patients and facilities, utilizing GPS, operating a radio, and possibly performing Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on a patient in distress.
This position acts in a professional manner and maintains an effective working relationship with members of other EMS agencies, hospital and long term facility personnel, patients and families, law enforcement, etc. In the EMS environment everyone works together in providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent required.
Assessing the needs of patients using accepted standards for the EMT.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)and/or Current National Registry Basic Certification required.
Valid CPR Certificate Required
Entry Level EMTs accepted
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 /hour
