Ah, The bitter cold winter weather is here for WV and most of the East Coast. This is the absolute worst time to have a major home maintenance problems. Use my list to get your home ready for the next big cold and snow storm.

❄️Clean Gutter and extend the downspout to direct water away from home.
❄️Inspect your fireplace.
❄️Inspect Frozen Pipe Protection, Drain and Shout off outdoor Faucets.
❄️Use an insulation blanket to wrap your Water Heater.
❄️Seal leaky Doors and Windows from drafts.
❄️Check window wells to keep moisture away from basement windows.

Supply's that will make enduring a Winter Storm more bearable; A working generator, stash of batteries for flashlights and lanterns, solar powered and battery operated radio, solar powered cell phone charger or extra cell phone battery.

My personal favorites for keeping your sanity intact during winter storms; get outside and play like a kid, make snow angels, go sled riding or cross county skiing, for inside lots of board games, puzzles and books.
