"My neighbor just showed me his new hunting app… and according to it, my house was on his property.”

So how accurate are those apps?

Most hunting apps pull their property lines from county tax maps. Those maps are helpful for general reference, but they aren’t survey-grade and can be off by several feet (or more).

The only way to truly know where a property line falls is with a professional survey.
