If you had the opportunity to walk this stunning property, you’d know that photos truly couldn’t do it justice. It will forever be one of the best homes I’ve sold. Wishing the buyers many years of happy moments in their new home!

Buckle up kids, it’s story time.
14 years in real estate and I had never injured myself while showing properties, well that all changed on Friday. I was meeting up with clients I hadn’t seen in 11 years — when I sold them their last home. I got there early and thought I’d do some cOnTeNt and showed you guys a little tour. Video’ed the backyard and realized part of it seemed in bad shape, so I went to “investigate” before my clients arrived. It had a step up onto a platform area with a bar and some other things. I took notes of the condition and then got a text as I was going back towards the house. The text was about my new listing “my clients love the house, we will be sending an offer this evening.” I read it and IMMEDIATELY fell. I had missed the step down off the platform.

Here’s where things get crazy. I knew my clients would be there any minute, so I tried to get up and shake it off. I couldn’t. I simply couldn’t put any weight on my foot and practically crawled to the out door patio furniture so I could lay down and elevate my foot. BUT I had noticed a camera while I was out there😫— terribly embarrassed, I sent my clients a quick text “think I broke my foot, in the backyard, fronts unlocked” and then went unconscious for a bit. My clients showed and are literal angels on earth. They did everything including running home to get ice packs, make sure I had someone to come get me and take me to ER, waited with me until I forced them to check out house🤪 (a girl was working after all) and then practically carried me to the car.

So much more happened during that short time frame, but I’m on my way to recovery (hoping to start walking in my boot this week) and accepted that same offer that I received the text about. 🤪

Oh and most importantly I found out those outdoor cameras aren’t connected or recording. Phew. That would have made the experience 100x worse if that was caught on camera.
