Attention all Asher Place residents (particularly those in their first year)
September 1st marks a day of tradition for Texans.
It is the opening day of dove season. This means you will likely see trucks parked in fields and people in those fields, walking around with shotguns. Unless you are a dove, you have absolutely nothing to fear.
Yes, you will likely hear gunshots in the early morning and evening hours. Do NOT panic. It is NOT the beginning of the 2nd Revolution. It IS merely Texans enjoying the time honored tradition. If you are lucky, someone may offer you some of the delightful dove breasts wrapped in jalepeno, cheese and bacon.
