Job Title: CDL Driver (Trailer Experience Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and experience driving a trailer. As a driver for The Vance Group you'll be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of crews and equipment while maintaining a high level of professionalism on the road.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a truck and trialer to transport goods to various locations
Ensure all shipments are loaded/unloaded properly and securely
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Maintain accurate driving logs and other required documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members
Assist with route planning and ensure efficient travel to minimize delays
Safely operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
Requirements:

Valid CDL (Class A) license
Proven experience with trailer hauling and loading/unloading
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
Ability to handle long-haul trips and extended hours when necessary
Clean driving record with no major violations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must pass a drug test and background check
