Even though the days of waiving home inspections to win the bid are over (hopefully!), if there is one piece of advice I can give it is this: Don't ever waive the right to inspect the property you are spending hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions, of dollars on. If the house has major problems nothing can be rectified by the seller after closing. Know what you are buying!
