If you are wondering about the hot housing market during the coronavirus pandemic here is an article I found. Pretty interesting read.
The hot housing market is truly driven by its demand...
I am witnessing first hand here in Salem, Oregon. Homebuyer's are caught in bidding wars due to low inventory and high demand. Best and highest offer will win majority of the time and because of the competition we are seeing homes appraising way above the original asking price.
Today's historically low interests rates are increasing the power of homebuyers' money. House prices are up from last year because these increasing prices in the market look appealing for sellers.
But they say "when there is a boom there is always a bust..."
"Today, we are definitely inventory-constrained. There aren't enough homes for people to buy," Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman told CNBC.
