Half of my Real Estate clients are from NY! Here are the top #100 things I love ❤️ about my New Yorker clients and friends! 😉

1. They’ve got a wicked sense of humor.
2. They say what they mean and mean what they say.
3. They have one speed… let’s get it done.
4. They love good food.
5. Not much bothers them.
6. Not much scares them.
7. Our traffic is laughable to them.
8. Our high housing prices are laughable to them.
9. They see beauty in almost every home I show them!
10. They are ready for a slower pace.
11. They are ready to entertain.
12. They love meeting up just because.
13. They ask me about how safe it is here and I laugh.
14. Our long commutes are hilarious to them.
15. They bring good Italian food here (FINALLY).
16. They hate our pizza places.
17. They bring so many coats with them 🤣.
18. Watching them convert to flip flops is hilarious.
19. They like socks and carpet.
20. They always ask where they will store their stuff.
21. They are in love with our sky.
22. They think our yards are huge.
23. They hate our HOAS more than we do.
24. They don’t give a f.
25. I love their accents.
26. They are wilded out by our wildlife and cranes.
27. It’s like they’ve seen bugs for the first time.
28. They’ve never seen so many churches.
29. They hate slow drivers more than me.
30. They are amazed or frustrated by our grocery stores.
31. They like homes with character.
32. New construction homes kind of weird them out.
33. They are amazed we have home offices.
34. Alligators 🐊 freak them out or excite them.
35. They are excited to garden 🪴.
36. They are excited to have pets more easily.
37. They stay indoors the first summer. It’s hell.
38. Watching them learn about Palm trees is fun.
39. They like real wood stairs and cabinets.
40. They like rugs.
41. Pools are foreign to them.
42. They always ask why we have lanais.
43. They always ask when they can open their windows.
44. They are always mad when I say they shouldn’t.
45. They hate that we don’t have basements.
46. They don’t understand why our attics are virtually useless.
47. They can’t believe we leave our doors and cars unlocked.
48. What are these things called sliders for?
49. They love how many windows we have.
50. They have to get used to tile.
51. They get pi**ed their hair doesn’t style like it used to.
52. They hate sand (at first).
53. Their aluminum free deodorant doesn’t work like it used to.
54. Their choice in cars soon changes. Ventilated seats are LIFE.
55. They love to walk- everywhere.
56. Watching them discover sweaty socks is cute.
57. They are bewildered we don’t use umbrellas or panchos or rain/snow boots.
58. They’ve never heard of neighbors so nosy or complaining.
59. They are frustrated at the lack of recycling (sometimes).
60. They’ve are amazed at all of the green grass.
61. They can’t believe houses are being built literally everywhere and all look the same.
62. They don’t cope with swamp a$$ well. (We don’t like it either BTW)
63. They finally understand why we don’t wear a lot of clothes or undergarments.
64. They quickly have to learn our sun is “different”.
65. They buy stock in sunscreen.
66. They quickly switch to leather seats in automobiles. We sweat 😰. a lot. here.
67. They start carrying water bottles everywhere here.
68. They’ve can’t believe how hot our beach sand gets.
69. They hate mosquitos 🦟 more than us.
70. And what are no-see-ums again?
71. They are amazed at how many things we “fry”.
72. Food can be spicy 🌶️ here.
73. They finally understand ceiling fans.
74. They quickly learn about the necessity of pest control.
75. They always ask where they will store their coats.
76. They bring coat racks with them.
77. They are amazed at the lack of mud rooms.
78. They can’t believe we run our AC nearly year round.
79. They want to be outside in the summer evenings until they discover mosquitoes.
80. They can’t believe we have jumping racing snakes.
81. They think we are wimps during cold spells.
82. They go to the beach in December.
83. They hate they can’t wear scarves 🧣 anymore.
84. They bring a ton of gloves with them.
85. They desperately miss fall/seasons changing the first 10 years here.
86. Their sarcasm is epic!
87. They ask how we get in our “steps”.
88. They are bewildered at our lack of “stairs and steps”.
89. Outlet malls are crazy to them. Everything in one place?
90. They discover Buccees. It’s fun to watch.
91. They discover Costco and Sam’s Club.
92. They are amazed at the sizes of our pantries.
93. They are often amazed we have HUGE TVs in every room.
94. Most delight in our massive kitchens.
95. Lawn care is foreign to many of them.
96. So many have questions about hurricanes 🌀
97. They didn’t realize how much it rains during the summer.
98. They’ve never seen so many storage places.
99. They are shocked at how many fast food places we have.
100. They are amazed at the size and extravagagance of our movie theatres.

101. They can’t believe our stores and shops close up at 9 pm. What?

❓Did I miss any? Feel free to add some of yours! 🤣Friendly fun and no disrespect please. This is a friendly post and anyone saying “Fl is full will be blocked.” I personally love both NYC and upstate NY. I even lived in Corning for an entire summer.
