August 27, 2025: I went to a really cool realtor event, and got to meet an elected official: Lucy Adame-Clark the Bexar County Clerk & she loved my posters and thanked me for doing it in the world. May 1st, 2025- I volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House charity. What is that? There are 3 Ronald McDonald Houses which are situated strategically in the San Antonio Medical Center area, and they provide children and their family members (up to 4 people in a room) a room to stay in indefinitely while the child (under age 21) is receiving critical medical care or treatment. Some children are cancer patients, while some are critically injured and have been life-flighted to a nearby hospital, so often their families arrive at the hospital in emergencies with just the clothes on their backs. So the Ronald McDonald houses often shelter parents in need of a place to stay while their child is in the hospital. Many are parents of babies in the NICU. These Ronald McDonald houses have up to 21 rooms that contain 2 queen beds, a full bathroom, and closets. The facility provides a large community kitchen, 3 laundry areas, play rooms for children & teens, counseling rooms, meditation room, and office. McDonald’s fast food-restaurants funds about 20% of the Ronald McDonald Houses operation costs. The other 80% of their funding comes from donations & sponsors. Today’s volunteer event I went with other realtors through SABOR (San Antonio Board of Realtors) to help clean, sanitize, & organize one of their houses: particularly the house where the children cancer patients stay, because they require extra-sanitized spaces as many are immune-compromised. It was a joy to be of service to this cause: children & their families.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? If you eat at McDonalds, PLEASE do the “round-up” option when you pay, because that bit of change goes directly to the Ronald McDonald Houses! Also, 1cent per Happy Meal sold goes to their funding. There are plenty of volunteer options including cooking meals for the families on site.

12/19/2024- I went to support the Salvation Army gift drive specifically for TEENAGERS at Miguelitas Mexican Grill, San Antonio, TX it was a charity event for real estate professionals to join in. The event had fun holiday games like flipping cups (I won!). We collected a ton of gifts for Salvation Army for teens for Christmas! Yay!

12/18/2024-I did a volunteer event where I helped out serving food & assisting kids with their arts & crafts for The SAMMinistries that helps homeless families with kids. It was for their Christmas party at the shelter. It was a very touching moment when a sweet little girl wanted me to take a photo with Santa with her & she was leading me all around the event pulling my hand. I got permission to take the photos with her, but the volunteer organization said I can’t post her face images.
