The negative voice you hear in your head….

We all have it….and it starts creeping in earlier than you think….

…BUT it CAN Be TAMED!

Daily Affirmations sound silly at first - but once you do them - you realize they’re not just words…

The things you repeat to yourself, be it affirmations, scriptures, song lyrics, or corporate jargon…live in your brain’s recall section.

And when you’re under stress - your brain pulls all related & stored info.

Scripture, Affirmations, and our Advice is what I want our girls to pull from when faced with the inevitable situations of pre-teens & teenagers.

So along with an amazing church family…we started affirmations today. We’ll keep these on the bathroom mirror until we’re ready for new ones.

Feels like 2016….

The year this sweet soul made me a momma.

If you’re expected to be affected by the major ice & snow storm…it’s tiiiiimmeee 🤣

All kidding aside make sure you do the following:

- drip faucets (especially those that share an exterior wall!)
- cover/protect exterior faucets
- have backup heat options (battery operated gas fireplace, safe indoor solar powered heaters, blankets, warming blankets, etc)
- light sources (flashlights, candles, lanterns, etc)
- water! (Not just for drinking but also for flushing - if you lose water/power/gas)
- canned food
Touch base with neighbors and ensure they and their animals are prepped and ready (especially elderly neighbors without family near by!

I was reflecting on the real estate activity that I alone have experienced in the past 6 days….

…and I was reminded that buyers buy - and - sellers sell….

on a timeline that fits their needs…

I’ve had 8 showings in the past 5 days on top of an open house last Sunday with 8 or 9 groups through…

…and every buyer had a reason….

- newly engaged
- moving closer to family
- tired of renting
- downsizing
- baby on the way
- and the list goes on….

Real estate doesn’t stop because it’s the holidays or deep winter - people are buying & selling when it works for their timeline.

If you’re contemplating selling your home, buying a home, or both - the earlier you can prepare the better!

And working with a Realtor that knows how to navigate every potential hurdle - sets you up for success.
