We were able to provide a quick closing for a family that inherited a property in Killeen, TX, and that had gone into pre- foreclosure.

Why did the home get listed for foreclosure?

Many times when homeowners get older, they get what is called a Reverse Mortgage. A Reverse Mortgage, is a loan where the bank pays the homeowner money monthly, until they pass. Once the homeowner passes, then they call the full amount due, or foreclosure on the home.

The family in this case, weren't able to refinance the home, and also had multiple heirs in different states. We were able to help them get all of the documents in order to be able to properly sell their property.

After 20 years of being away from his family, today we say bye to our seller that is moving back to Puerto Rico!

He moved to the states from Puerto Rico when he was 9, served in the military, had lost his eldest child, and had no one in the States.

During the appointment, he mentioned several times, "I'm tired man, I just want to go back to my family in Puerto Rico," you give me $xx,### and i'll book a flight tomorrow.

The day of closing we agreed that he can stay in the house for a few days so he can book his flight, even at this point he still didn't believe me that he was going back home in less than a week.

His check was over nighted to him, and I called him when I got the notification, and I said

Do you believe me now?

This was the first time I heard him laugh, but truly laugh with Joy in his heart!

I told him its time for you to tell your daughter after 20 years of not seeing her that its time to come back home.

Today we got the keys to the property, and our Puerto Rican friend is on his way back home after 20 years.
