🍎✏️📚 The 2026 Texas school ratings are out, and there is more to the numbers than simply comparing A, B, and C grades.

For buyers looking in Garden Ridge, Schertz, Cibolo, Northeast San Antonio, Converse, or around Randolph AFB, the preliminary district results include:

Comal ISD: 88/B
SCUC ISD: 81/B
North East ISD: 81/B
Judson ISD: 71/C

The more useful step is going beyond the district score.

The campus assigned to a particular address can have a different rating and trend than the district overall. Attendance boundaries can change, especially in growing areas, and the programs offered at each campus may also be important to your decision.

Our newest article explains how to use the 2026 ratings without letting one letter grade make the decision for you.

If schools are part of your home search, this is worth saving before you start comparing properties.

What school information do you usually look at first when researching an area?

GFiber has officially broken ground in Cibolo.

Construction is expected to continue through 2026, with service becoming available as different portions of the network are completed.

That means buyers and homeowners should still check the exact address rather than assume every Cibolo home already has GFiber.

We put together a straightforward guide covering the timeline, availability, costs, construction and the real estate questions worth considering.

There’s a lot being said about the proposed data center at 1000 Bolton Road in Cibolo.

But what is actually confirmed?

The property was **not rezoned in 2025 for a data center**. It has been zoned Light Industrial since 2016.

The City currently describes the proposal as a 242,640-square-foot, 50 MW facility, and its latest public information addresses everything from water and electricity to taxes, zoning and what residents can expect next.

The harder question is the one many homeowners are asking:

**What could this mean for nearby home values?**

That answer requires much more caution than some of the claims circulating online.

We went through the City’s current records and separated what is confirmed, what is still being reviewed and what simply isn’t known yet.

If you live in Cibolo, or are thinking about buying here, this is worth understanding.

What part of the project are you most interested in learning more about?

📉🤔📈Zillow says Garden Ridge home values are down 1.4%. Redfin says median prices are up 8%.

How can both be true?

Because they aren't measuring the same thing.

And in a small market like Garden Ridge, the homes that happen to sell in a particular month can dramatically change the headline median.

We broke down what Zillow, Redfin and Realtor.com are actually telling homeowners—and what matters more if you're considering selling.

🏡 Garden Ridge homeowners: this wording on the November ballot may catch your attention.

The Comal ISD bond will include the words:

“THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.”

But the district says the proposed bond can be funded without increasing the current tax rate.

So how can both be true?

In this short video, I break down the important difference between a property tax rate and your actual property tax bill.

▶️ Watch before you assume either side of the argument tells the whole story.

What matters more to you as a homeowner—the tax rate or the amount you actually pay each year?

🏫 Comal ISD's proposed 2026 bond isn't only about new schools.

The $567 million package includes two proposed elementary schools near the I-35 corridor, but it also includes improvements at existing campuses—including Garden Ridge Elementary and Davenport High School.

We looked at what homeowners should watch next: school locations, boundaries, taxes and continued I-35 growth.
