HEY, Y’ALL! I’m sincerely grateful to you for taking the time to visit my page. I’m a true Texan, born in San Antonio and raised in a small town just ten to fifteen minutes north of the city called, Bulverde. It is STILL the town I am honored to call home for myself and my family. The area still carries that small-town feel, and I co
nsider this truly a blessing for me and my family to continue to experience. I’ve been here most of my life, as I’ve gone through grade school up to High School, graduating in 2004 from Smithson Valley. From there I went off to play a year of college softball at a JR. College between Fort Worth and Abilene, planning to major in kinesiology to be a softball coach. Once I returned back to San Antonio, I decided to spend a year at The University of Incarnate Word where I took some courses toward majoring in Public Relations, still not sure at the time what I wanted to do. You see, during my time in college, I wasn’t able to identify which degree was going to be the right path for me. Instead, I was able to identify and confirm, that all I really wanted to do was make an impact, make a real lasting difference in people's lives, and I wanted to do it on my terms and how I saw it to be planned out. My parents owned a successful concrete business for over 20 years. So naturally (or maybe it’s just hereditary lol) I decided to follow in my parent's footsteps and soon began to accept that I was meant to be an Entrepreneur. I was fortunate to see firsthand what hard work, discipline, and honestly could get you by being your own boss. I also saw the life I could give my own kids, and that was exciting! Through the years, I consistently saw the many lives that were positively (and sometimes negatively) impacted by owning a business. But it was the idea of helping people, by being a SOLUTION to a problem or a need, THAT is what I craved! As time went on, I went back and forth with different business ideas trying to find a balance between my passion, my purpose, and still putting food on the table and a roof over my head for our small but growing family! My husband was out of work looking for his next career path, as he was the Superintendent of my parents Concrete Company that like other small construction businesses, that after 22 years, was forced to shut its doors due to the 2008/2009 Recession. Since I still hadn’t found my “thing”, without his income, we were at the end of our rope. I had just lost my car, then a few months later we were losing our house! During this difficult time, shortly before I officially lost my house, I had just started working part-time as a “Real Estate Investments Assistant”. This job, that I took instead of the Flight Attendant offer from United Airlines, was MUCH less pay, very low hours, no benefits, and in someone’s extra bedroom at their house LOL! I know what you’re thinking … This chick is INSANE! You would have to be crazy, to not think that lol… Lucky for me, I have been told I’m borderline crazy haha! BUT, I have ridiculously large dreams and I knew in my heart that this path could help make those dreams come true!!! Someone who I once admired, once told me “As long as there is misery in the world, there’s going to be real estate assets that need to be purchased!” (referencing divorce, job loss, foreclosures, death, etc.). I didn’t know exactly what he meant at the time, but it didn’t take long before I fully understood. You see, I got into real estate during a very unique time. It was RIGHT at the beginning of “The Big Short”, you know, like the movie - When everyone who had a pulse was getting approved for a mortgage, and then a second one, and a third, and so on… That’s right - you guessed it! And then, Folks… THAT’S WHEN IT HAPPENED! It was RIGHT THEN, I had finally found it, my “thing”! This was how I was going to impact the world and still provide an abundant life that my kids and husband deserved! I know you might be asking how I saw light during this very dark time, but the truth is - it was simple. The light was ALL AROUND ME! My Colleagues, Investors, Contractors, Whole-sellers, Realtors, Attorney friends, and so many more were CHANGING lives - EVERYDAY! See, we found a way to be a SOLUTION to the many folks who were experiencing “Misery” during this incredibly difficult time in their lives. We were helping people who were behind on their mortgage catch up, move on, repair their credit, and start again. We helped our city by cleaning up hundreds of abandoned houses and having them completely renovated and put back on the market for a family to enjoy. We provided jobs for hundreds of contractors. We helped hard-working, blue-collar families that had something devastating happen to them, which impacted their income (JUST LIKE MINE). We didn’t do this alone, our investors would learn about how and what we were doing here, come to our city (some from other states, some from other countries) and we would help them buy a property, fix it up, and then become the bank for families who without them - would possibly never fulfill their dream of owning their own home. Day by Day, I was making an IMPACT through Real Estate (without ever needing a license). All the way from Corpus Christi, through San Antonio and the surrounding areas, up to Temple, Waco, and Killeen! … I was finally living my dream and things seemed great until something else happened - THE MARKET TURNED! It was getting harder to find good investments, hard to buy properties at lower prices to make the same returns, it was hard to find good/steady contractors, everything was just getting harder! After my business partner and I split, he kept going, and my husband & I moved in a different direction. I didn’t know why all the changes - until I started to look at house sales from a different perspective. I decided to start showing people where they could put their Christmas Tree in their homes, versus how high or low their cash-on-cash returns or equity was on a transaction. It was a simple mindset switch really! I had been trained to see houses and buildings as either an asset or a liability, nothing more. I was wrong. Since then I’ve learned that there is room for BOTH! Since then I’ve worked hard in educating myself every day on how to continue to be a SOLUTION in the real estate world. And this time, regardless of the situation, including a freaking pandemic! This time - I am taking ownership and pride when I say that I’m happy to be a guide and offer solutions for BOTH my traditional home buyers and sellers, who to them, their house has been their HOME, not a percent of return. And I’ve become so much more creative, savvy, and just overall, seasoned, as a solution for my investor and builder clients. So… Now that you know how I got to where I am today, you must be able to hear me when I say that it brings me GREAT pleasure to lead and serve others! And I know that in today’s extremely competitive market, you have many options for real estate professionals.
