Most people don’t invest because they’re lazy.

They don’t invest because they were never allowed to.

When figuring out rent, the stock market might as well be Mars.

That’s why I teamed up with Sean Tepper to record a podcast that’s going to shake some tables.

Sean created Tykr, a tool that makes stock investing as simple as a traffic light:
🟢 Green = good
🟡 Yellow = caution
🔴 Red = risky

No Wall Street jargon.
No hidden fees.
No need to be a finance bro.

Meanwhile, I’ve been working directly with public housing authorities.

Building tech that helps families escape the poverty trap using AI to guide them toward wealth, one decision at a time.

We talked about:
→ Why investing is STILL gatekept
→ How Tykr helps first-time investors avoid costly mistakes
→ What happens when we give everyone access to financial tools, not just the top 10%

And yes, we’re talking about joining forces.

My app is coming soon.

And if we can plug Tykr into it as an affiliate partnership?

More families can start building wealth without having to “make it out” first.

This isn’t a nice-to-have.

This is the blueprint.

Let’s stop waiting for change and build it.

Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you’re ready to see real financial freedom become real for everyone.

Most people want the shortcut.

Charisse Walker took the hard road and still emerged victorious.

She joined me on the Disruptive Capitalists Podcast and dropped one of the most honest, raw, and inspiring conversations we’ve had yet.
→ Divorced
→ In debt
→ Raising special needs kids
→ Starting over in real estate

She didn’t let any of it stop her.

Charisse went all-in on herself.

She built her real estate business from the ground up, focusing on residential and multifamily deals in one of the country's hottest markets: Utah.

Homes are moving fast out there, but she knows how to spot the value and help sellers adjust their expectations.

Now she’s part of a major investment club, doing bigger deals with bigger returns.

She’s also helping others do the same through her book, workshops, and real talks about healing after trauma.
We even talked about a new co-GP fund and a big project in Las Vegas.

If you’ve ever felt like it was “too late” to start over, this episode will change your mind.

If building your business is draining your soul, you need to hear this.

Paul Graham had it all.

Money.
Properties.
Success on paper.

But one day, he looked at the life he built…
And realized he hated living in it.

So he did what most entrepreneurs won’t:
→ Sold off parts of his real estate portfolio
→ Rebuilt his business to align with his values
→ Focused on JOY over just net worth

Now he’s helping founders scale without selling their soul.
He leads Octane to help owners grow and exit the right way.
And he hosts The Investor’s Guide to Joy to show people how to win and feel good doing it.

This isn’t fluff.
It’s a real strategy built from real pain.

If you’ve ever felt stuck building a business that looks great but feels empty, this conversation is your wake-up call.

Most “affordable housing” doesn’t actually work for the people it’s supposed to serve.

That’s the hard truth.

This week, I sat down with Gladys Margarita Diaz, and she’s doing something about it.

She’s not another expert throwing buzzwords around.

She’s a builder.

→ Co-founder of an AI company that helps buyers find homes they can actually afford.
→ Leading national policy efforts for Hispanic homeownership.
→ Designing real-world housing solutions with community in mind.

Gladys broke down why the current system fails:

→ Government programs are slow and inefficient.
→ Most housing tools ignore what buyers actually need.
→ No one is thinking about childcare, job access, or education when planning these communities.

Her team is launching AI-powered tools that make homebuying smarter, faster, and personal.

Real data.

Real context.

Real people.

We also talked about what the private sector needs to do right now:

→ Fund projects with long-term dignity, not short-term ROI.
→ Design with beauty and creativity to avoid gentrification.
→ Support working families with services like childcare and education access.

We’re planning site tours, new partnerships, and serious collaboration.

Because the future of affordable housing doesn’t need another meeting.

It needs a movement.

Most people double down when their business is booming.

Derrick Kinney did the opposite.

He walked away from a thriving financial advisory firm at his peak.

The hardest part?

Telling clients who had trusted him for years.

Some cried.
Some begged him not to go.
Because he wasn’t just their advisor, he was family.

But Derrick had clarity.

He wanted to stop growing portfolios and start growing people.

Now he mentors financial professionals and entrepreneurs.

He built a "conversational sales framework" that helps advisors win the trust of high-net-worth clients without sounding pushy.

He reminds entrepreneurs that feeling misunderstood isn’t a sign of failure; it’s part of the climb.

And his book "Good Money Revolution" is proof that success doesn’t have to be selfish.

It can fuel causes that make life better.

Derrick didn’t retire.

He rewired.

From managing money to multiplying meaning.

👉 Would you ever walk away from success at your peak?

Most people don’t realize this...

Commercial real estate doesn’t work like residential.

We don’t sugarcoat things.

We don’t hold your hand.

And we definitely don’t rely on commissions to survive.

I joined a podcast with Nick Aufenkamp—he’s shaking up residential real estate in a big way.

He’s teaching buyers how to navigate the process without a traditional buyer’s agent.

And he’s catching heat for it.

But here’s what I told him:

→ This is normal in commercial.
→ Buyers expect straight answers.
→ They pay for strategy, not sales.

Residential buyers deserve the same.

What Nick is doing isn’t crazy—it’s overdue.

Consulting is the product.

Education is the value.

The sooner we treat real estate like a business, not a popularity contest, the better.

I told Nick to pre-sell his service.

Build a mastermind.

Test demand and iterate fast.

The market is ready.

Most agents won’t admit it, but the industry is shifting.

And the ones who adapt?

They’ll own the future.

Let’s stop gatekeeping information.

Start treating buyers like adults.

What if we stopped selling... and started advising?

Would you pay for real guidance instead of biased advice?

Most people think capitalism is the problem.

Truth is, we’re just not using it the right way.

In the latest episode of The Disruptive Capitalists, I sat down with Willis, CFP®, and we pulled back the curtain on how capitalism can actually be used to fight poverty, not cause it.

Mark’s personal story with student loan debt lit a fire.

He didn’t just get out of debt.
He built a whole new financial strategy—one that puts power back in the hands of everyday people.

We talked about:
→ Why affordable housing can be ethical and profitable
→ How public-private partnerships are breaking down barriers in real estate
→ The lies behind debt-free advice that keeps people poor
→ And how infinite banking and the Debt Snowbank Method are changing the game

We also called out what schools never teach: financial literacy.
You can graduate with six figures in debt and no idea how money actually works.

That’s not by accident.
That’s by design.

If you’re a business owner, an investor, or just tired of the old system, this episode is for you.

This isn’t theory.
It’s real.
It’s working.

And it’s time more people heard about it.

Some of the best conversations happen when you stop following the script.

That is exactly what happened when I sat down with Jeff Peterson to plan our new podcast episode.

What started as a discussion about audio vs. video turned into something much deeper:
→ Why mentorship can save years of mistakes.
→ The traits that separate entrepreneurs from everyone else.
→ How family, business, and long-term vision can all work together.
→ A solar model that installs panels at no cost, and how it can transform projects.

Jeff opened up about how mentorship could have changed his journey in property development.
I shared how one piece of advice from a mentor could have prevented me from taking a painful financial loss.

We both agreed: the right guidance is not optional, it is the shortcut to growth.

This episode is real, unscripted, and full of lessons you will not hear in a classroom.

Watch, listen, and take notes.

What do founders miss most? Mentorship. In this unscripted conversation, Jeff Peterson and Sam Sells explore the power of experienced guidance, how to make “...

Most real estate investors never get past Level 1.
I broke it all down during my guest appearance on Entrepreneurs On Fire with John Lee Dumas.

Curious what the next levels look like and how to get there?

The #1 slumlord in America?
It’s America.

267,000+ public housing units FAILED basic inspections last year.
Real people live there.
But no one’s fixing it—
Because no one profits from the poor… until now.
We're changing that.
