9/11 happened when I was in the 7th grade. I remember my social studies teacher telling us what happened and putting the news on the television for us to see. I didn’t realize at the time that I’d be fighting in the ensuing war 9 years later.

My thoughts are with the Americans we lost 25 years ago. And with everyone’s lives who were affected. To all of my veteran battle buddies, thank you for serving and keeping our country safe.
