Wealth is power—literally. Corporate political contributions have reached a record $646 million ahead of the 2026 midterms, a clear example of how concentrated capital converts into access and influence.

Latinos contribute more than $4.4 trillion annually to the U.S. economy, yet the median Latino household holds only about 22 cents in wealth for every dollar held by the median white household. That gap is why consumption, visibility, and cultural relevance cannot be confused with ownership.

Luxury is spending. Wealth is ownership. Wealth compounds—and those who own the most are often the ones writing the rules.
