Are you looking at buying or selling or selling a 1970’s home? One of the main focal points during this construction period is the electrical system. If you see an electrical panel with a cover like this one, you’re looking at a Zinsco/Sylvania panel. These panels are known for issues with arcing and overheating. Another thing to look out for is aluminum electrical wiring. Especially when there is both copper and aluminum wiring. This home had a lot of improper wire splicing and modifications that can pose a potential for fire hazards. This is why we do what we do!
