Starting the color selection process and yes… it can feel like a lot

We tested around 15 samples between wall and trim colors to see what actually works—not just on paper, but in real life. The biggest game changer? Seeing how each color shifts in sunlight vs. shade. It’s wild how different it can look throughout the day.

And it’s never just about one color… everything has to tie together—roof, gutters, fascia, window trim, front door, soffits, beams, hardware, flooring, tile, even the garage door. It’s all one big composition.

Dialing it in now so the final result feels clean, intentional, and elevated.

Thinking about repainting or upgrading your exterior? I can help you choose a palette that actually works together and adds value.

Full exterior remodel underway in Clairemont.

Designed in collaboration with local architect , this project is moving out of demo and into the rebuild phase. We’re currently addressing repairs uncovered during construction and preparing for the next major steps—installing windows, doors, and siding.

From there, we’ll bring in the finishing elements: wood-wrapped columns and beams, decorative hardware, along with cedar tongue-and-groove detailing at the porch and deck.

Excited to see this transformation come to life.

From vision to reality

This full house remodel + 2nd story addition in Point Loma is extra special—I'm working with dear friends to design a home that truly grows with their family. This is our very first schematic iteration, where I get to present the initial plans and bring ideas to life for the first time.

So grateful to be trusted with something this meaningful and to help shape a space that fits all their needs—now and in the future.

Bringing a bathroom + bedroom remodel to life. Working alongside a talented San Diego interior designer to help clients fully envision their space while making sure every detail is clear for the subcontractors to execute seamlessly.

Behind every beautiful space is a clear vision.
I partner with fellow designers to bring their concepts to life—helping clients truly see the transformation before it happens.

This bedroom remodel highlights thoughtful material coordination paired with curated furnishings to create a cohesive, elevated retreat.

Starting schematic design = organized creativity. Even though it looks chaotic.
My process looks like this:
1. As-built in CAD (existing conditions)
2. Sketch overlays + bubble diagrams to test program + flow
3. Refine into real rooms, adjacencies, and circulation
4. Then we start dialing in materials, light, and character

This is where the “idea” turns into a plan you can actually build.

Some projects never make it past the concept phase, but they still deserve to be seen.

This single-family home was intentionally designed to convert into a 4-plex, adding three modern Nordic-inspired 1-bedroom lofts while maintaining a cohesive architectural language. The goal was density without compromise—thoughtful massing, warm materiality, and spaces that feel contemporary, efficient, and genuinely livable.

Each loft was envisioned as a cozy yet modern retreat, featuring lofted sleeping areas, open living spaces, and SIP panel construction to improve energy performance, reduce construction time, and increase long-term efficiency. Clean lines, natural textures, and simple forms were used to create homes that feel calm, intentional, and connected to their surroundings.

This concept is still very much alive. It simply needs the right property and opportunity to bring it to life.

Watching the rise of small multifamily and ADU developments with little character or architectural intention is hard to ignore. Density is necessary, but boring boxes are not the answer. In a city surrounded by incredible landscapes and diverse neighborhoods, architects and designers should be pushing the envelope—creating housing that adds beauty, soul, and value to the urban fabric.

Good design matters. Especially now.

Before we ever draw a line, I make sure my clients feel clear, prepared, and excited about what’s ahead.

Design isn’t just about great ideas — it’s about guiding the process:
* setting expectations early
* asking the right questions
* aligning on goals, budget, and timeline
* and making sure everyone feels heard before design even begins

I prep agendas.
I document decisions.
I confirm priorities.

So when we get into schematic design, we’re not guessing — we’re building with intention.

My clients know what the meeting is about, what comes next, and how we’ll get there together. That clarity saves time, reduces revisions, and makes the entire experience smoother (and way more enjoyable).

This is how I take care of my clients — with structure, transparency, and a whole lot of heart. ✨

San Diego isn’t just growing — it’s growing from the inside out. 📈
While other California metros are losing urban residents, people are choosing San Diego’s city core for lifestyle, walkability, and long-term value.

This kind of growth matters — especially if you’re buying, investing, renovating, or planning your next move. Urban demand shapes pricing, design trends, and opportunity.

I help clients spot where growth actually translates into value — not just hype.
