Important Changes are Coming August 17th 2024!

Beginning August 17th, a significant shift in the home buying process will take effect. All prospective buyers must now sign a Buyer Representation Agreement with a real estate agent BEFORE viewing any property.

What does this mean for you?
Mandatory Buyer Representation Agreement:

To gain access to properties, buyers must enter into a formal agreement with a real estate agent outlining the terms of their representation.

No More "Just Show Me the House":
Unaccompanied property showings will no longer be permitted.

Understanding the Agreement:
This contract details the agent's duties, the buyer's obligations, and the commission structure.

Commission Negotiations:
While commission rates will no longer be publicly advertised on the MLS, they remain negotiable. Buyers have options to cover agent commissions through seller concessions, direct payment to the agent, or out-of-pocket expenses.
