• Start with the basics: Clean and declutter. A clean and clutter-free exterior instantly enhances the appeal of your home. Sweep the walkway, driveway, and porch, and get rid of any debris or clutter. This can make your home look instantly cleaner and more inviting.

• Add some greenery: A splash of greenery can do wonders for your curb appeal. Consider adding some potted plants, hanging baskets, or window boxes to your front porch or entrance. Choose plants that complement your home's exterior colours and style.

• Upgrade your lighting: Outdoor lighting not only enhances the beauty of your home, but it also provides safety and security. First time homebuyers, listen up! 📣

Buying a house is one of the biggest purchases you’ll make in your life. Doing your research ahead of time and knowing what to expect will help you to prepare for the home buying process ahead.

Here are some answers to my most frequently asked questions from first time buyers:

Q: Should I buy instead of rent?

A: There are many benefits that come with purchasing a house. These include tax breaks, equity, security, financial gains, value appreciation, capital gains, and more.

Q: Am I ready to buy?

A: If you can answer “yes” to at least 2 or 3 of the questions below, there’s a good chance you’re ready to purchase your first home.

1. Do you have a steady job?

2. Do you plan to stay in the same area for more than 2 years (3-5 years)?

3. Is your current income reliable?

4. Have you saved for a downpayment, closing costs, and other moving expenses?

5. Can you afford the monthly mortgage payment?

Q: How do I find a lender?

A: You may want to consider speaking with a couple of lenders to figure out who you work best with and who can offer you the best rates! I do have a preferred lender I work closely with.

Q: Does my credit score really matter?

A: Your credit score plays a big role in the process of applying for a mortgage.

Windansea is a small and narrow beach that has a rocky landscape where jutting rocks create powerful waves. Windansea is a secluded beach that offers picturesque scenery and is a prime location for photography enthusiasts. One of the most well-known features of this beach is the Windansea Shack constructed in the mid-1940s by Fred Kenyon, Don Okey, and Woody Ekstrom. The San Diego Historical Resources Board named it a historical landmark in 1998. Windansea Beach has a long reputation for being a renowned surf break, and many notable surfers like Butch van Artsdalen and Mickey Munoz have called this their home break. It continues to be a surfers’ beach today, however, you’ll still see a few sunbathers and others enjoying the view.

The majority of San Diego’s beaches are large and cater to the masses; they tend to have multiple sections for specific interests and almost constant action. Windansea Beach started off as a small, local surf spot that has seen some of history’s best surfers, and it continues its legacy with surfers of today. This is a beach that caters to the lifestyle that San Diego is most known for, the beach crowd who surfs all day and parties all night. This is the perfect destination for those who love ripping it in the water, and those who love a good sunset with a picturesque view.

The truth is, getting a pre-approval letter from your lender is critical, and when it comes to your home search, it can be a game changer.

Put simply, a pre-approval from your lender helps you understand your true price range and how much money you can borrow for your loan. That will make it easier when you set out to search for homes.
