🍾What a better way to start the new year than with a new home?! Congrats to my client and friend on his new spot! We may very well have been the last recorded deed of 2020 with a closing confirmation time of 5:25p on new year’s eve.

Last week of 2020 and what a year it’s been.

While I’m sure we’ve all had some serious up’s and down’s, I hope you have some good takeaways from the year.

In the real estate world, a serious seller’s market has been holding steady. With a plethora of buyers and limited inventory, it’s been extremely competitive for buyers’ to lock in their dream home.

There’s been a mass shift toward upsizing with most people spending more time at home than ever before. The desire for home offices, room to workout, and more space for everyone in the household are among the highest on the list.

With interest rates locked in at record-breaking low’s of ~2.5%, the current market won’t go anywhere for a while. Contrary to the norm, inventory is actually fractionally increasing when it usually drops noticeably for the holidays.

Suppose we have all learned to expect the unexpected in 2020.
