All jokes asideā€¦ I can handle people looking at me sideways trying to figure out if Iā€™m a male or female and wondering if Iā€™m in the right bathroom , or having to scan an environment looking for other people of color/ q***r people to feel safe , or the looks tara and I get when weā€™re holding hands in public.

But when strangers get joy from witnessing my daughterā€™s aura and being.. and then realizing she has 2 moms and seeing their face drop.

That, is something I wasnā€™t prepared for. And it makes me mad that those strangers got even an ounce of joy from my baby. F**k those people.

Enough is Enough - Time to come home, friend.

Living in San Diego, I feel like Iā€™m living in such a bubble. A bubble full of love, warmth and genuinely good people.

Sometimes I forget that the rest of America is a lot different. And it absolutely breaks my heart that people arenā€™t able to live as freely as we do in San Diego.

Itā€™s a privilege to live here.

Even though it should be a basic human right to live life how you want to live and love who you want to love, unfortunately thatā€™s not the way the whole world is.
